Pulled head off engine and noticed when I went to pull sprocket and timing chain that the silver link on chain does not line up with mark on sprocket like it shows in manual. It is one link off. Without being able to see bottom sprocket I can not tell if that one is one sprocket off. This does not make sense to me. Is this common that the silver link does not line up as it shows in the book or has this been incorrect since engine was first manufactured? Scott

if it runs ok,I would'nt worry about it.If it was loping at idle,or the idle speed was off,and it has high miles it may have jumped timing,but most Nissan engines have timing chain tensioners,so this is unlikely to ocurr.
