hi. i have a 2002 terrano 2 3.0 di .
the oil light will stay on when starting up in morning, however if you turn it off and re-start it after 5mins light goes out . there is plenty of oil in sump.
i had a new sensor fitted and now the same happens but it now flikkers on below 1500 rpm. i have driven the vehicle with light on to no adverse effect.
maybe the pump ? if so is it a big job?

I'd remove the sending unit and put an analog gauge in to measure the pressure. Most cars have an upper & lower sending units!!! Oh and using a correct Nissan oil filer & correct oil will matter ALOT!!!
