Clunk in 06 Xterra manual transmission

Hello everyone
Have a 2006 Xterra with manual transmission that has a noticeable clunk in the rearend when shifting. The dealer maintains that it is normal gear lash sound but I have had several Nissans the last being a 94 Pathfinder and they have all had manual transmissions and I have never heard this sound before.

Was it like that when you test drove it? Does the ones on the lot do the same thing? If not take the shop for a ride in a new lot one to show them what it was like when you bought it.

Drive it till something breaks. Make the dealership fix it and you're ahead in two ways, you found out what it was and they fixed it for free finally.
