Hi all, I am new to Nissans as i just purchased an 87 2wd King cab with a z24 5spd to try and keep down fuel costs as my daily commuter.(Current Driver 66'Ford SB Boss 302 375hp fun but no good for commuting)The truck has 146 km from the original owner has had only 20k put on it in the last 7 years. The owner had noticed significant power loss. It does not smoke , rattle or knock, although it seems to me to be running rich and hot. Oil is clear, plugs look good. Can anyone point me in the right direction on where to start and what to look for /replace. It seems to me it is boggy at low rpm if you let the revs below 2000 in second gear it almost can't recover, this is obviously compounded as the gears go up. It is slightly errratic at idle as the revs go up and down slowly and just has no pep. I can wrench an old american v8 but this twin plug electro injection is complete greek to me.
