93 HB/ starter, relay or what?!?!?!

Hello everyone,
My 93 hardbody is having a intermitent no start condition.
For probably the last 2 weeks it has been acting weird like for example if im getting ready to leave and attempt to start it nothing at all happens.

Maybe after 5 turns of the key it starts right up like nothing is wrong.
I had a friend hold the relay when I attempted to start it and he said he could hear and feel the relay click everytime.

If the relay is clicking I assume the neautral safty switch is doing its job by getting the signal to the relay so I assumed it was the starter.

I replaced the starter over the weekend ,but the problem is still there.
So should I change the neautral safty switch 1st or the relay?
The battery cables are good and tight ,and the battery is fine.
Any ideas would be greatly apperciated.
Thanks.

sounds like the starter and/or solenoid on the starter, pull it out and have it tested by autozone. you said the cables are good, guessing you check the connections on the opposite ends of the battery too?

would that be a blue double(2 plug ins) relay on the right side??? when you turn the key the engine doesnt turn over and you just get a click?? next time it does it, turn the key to the start position and have someone tap on the relay... if it starts you know what the problem is, it was a common problem (I carry an extra relay, and it has saved me)

I actually did replace the starter over the weekend ,and it didnt solve the problem but just because its in stock and cheap im going with the relay next.
The cables were fine on the other end.

It is the big blue 2 plug in relay.
