Ratio differences?

Would a diff from a 93 hardbody king cab 4cyl 2wd have a different final drive ratio than say a regular cab 4 cyl 2wd?
Basically did nissan put a lower ratio diff in the king cab trucks to compensate for the additional weight or would they be the same?

Also does anyone know if the ratios changed between 93 and 97?
Thanks!

I can not speak directly about the 2WDs. My understanding with the 4WDs is that the automatic transmission was equipped with the shorter final drive ratio (4.6:1 vs 4.3:1).

Take a look at the sticker inside the driver's door - it should give indication as to the axle type and ratio.

http://www.nissanforums.com/showthread.php?t=20830 shows some ratios. I have no reason to believe they would have changed between the years you mention.

Thanks!
The reason I was asking is because I just had to get a new rear end for my 93 from a junkyard and I didnt want to change the ratios.
It seems to be driving about the same as before so I guess the ratio was the same.
