I have a 90 Nissan Pickup 4cly.and the trannys slipping??But didn't start seems til after the exhaust starting leaking in front of the Convertor??Does anyone know if the two might be messing with each other made due to Vacuum???I changed the fluid and filter didn't seem to Help at all!!! Not sure now any TIPS???
what did the fluid look like when you changed it? did the filter have any particles on it? the exhaust leak is there any vacuum lines to the tranny in the immediate area? does the tranny slip all the time or is it cold or hot conditions?
The tranny in my 89' Nissan Truck also slips when going from 2nd to third gear (all the time). I've also noticed that when I start it up cold it stalls out, I have to give it gas to keep it running. After a few seconds I can let off and runs ok. Could it be possible that I have a vacuum leak that's causing both of these problems?
Im not sure but when I just changed my gasket on my exhaust pipe in front of the converoter it seems to have changed not sure yet tho! Any other ideas????
