'05 & '06 Xterra

Morning.....new to this forum. I'm currently researching out SUV's, and the new Nissan XTerra with Off-Road pkg is one of them. I test drove an '06 Auto recently, so far so good. But i'm hearing various stories on fuel milage. I don't expect great milage out of near 270Hp as well as that body style, but their is a limit in todays day and age.

Wondering what you guys with an '05 or '06 Xterra are getting for milage?
Also any complaints so far?

Thanks for the help.

I just bought a new '05 XTerra on Saturday, had 150 miles on it at the lot, probably from test driving and such, and the dealer filled up the tank for me before I drove off the lot. Currently, I'm at 308 miles on the odometer, and I'm at half a tank. Probably not an accurate extrapolation from my first tank of gas, but right now I'm looking at around 310 miles per tank, give or take. Again, nothing technical here, just basing it on my first half a tank used. That was city driving, mostly back and forth to work, and my lunch hour.

Hope this helps a little .

If you drive it in "as though you wanted to save gas" it should get what the sticker says.

Heck I towed a #3800 trailer with mine and got the "City" milage out of mine.
