Unhappy Murano fueling problem

Sometimes when I'm putting gas into my 2005 Murano, the gas pumping is interrupted prematurely as if the tank is full.

Any suggestions?

You shouldn't "Top it off". how far of being "full" before this happens?

It sometimes happens when the tank is less than half full. After starting all over again, it will terminate again and again.

I have a 2005 Murano that I bought in 12/05. My wife has complained about the exact same thing happening to her a couple of times. It stops at about half way and doesn't let her fill up.

on my '76 Blazer I had to have the nozzle in a certain way for the pump to be on full. otherwise the gas would tend to backup on bends in the filler neck and shut the pump off as if it were full. try a different angle.

My girlfriend has an 06 Murano and has had this problem at several different gas stations. I think it has to do with the filler tube to the gas tank getting filled to quickly and setting off the nozzle. She now pumps gas a little slower and never has had the problem since.

MO gassing

I have the same problem with my '04 every once in a while. I honestly think it has something to do the pumps at some stations. Some are just quicker than others. I usually stop, count to ten, and start back. If it does it again, I pull the nozzle out a little ways and only hold the handle halfway open. This usually takes care of the prob but it sure does slow down getting back on the road.
