that could be it but I would check out a few things first. I too have battery issues in the winter if I don't drive it for like 4 days or so and it's really cold, but I have always attributed mine to my aftermarket alarm because when I installed it I hooked up a relay in a way that might be causing a slow draw. You could also have a relay problem as well, because Nissans require at least 1 relay in addition to most built in aftermarket alarm relays, and in retrospect I realize there is a better way to hook up the relay but I would bet most people do it they way I did.
Did you install the aftermarket alarm yourself? If not, have the people who did it take a look- that should be free with any professional install no matter how long you've had it. Just tell them to check your alarm and relays for a constant draw. Most likely it would be the relay used for either the 2nd starter wire, or 2nd ignition wire. Being that your model is a 98, I can't be certain it has 2 of each of those, but it probably does. I'll be fixing mine in the summer when it's warm and whoever installed yours should fix it for free if it is in fact being caused by the aftermarket alarm.
