Lightbulb 90 Pathfinder Lights & Cruise don't work

Neither the low beams nor high beams will come on. The cruise control
won't "set", but the cruise indicator light comes on when I switch it
on at the dash. The turn indicators work. If I switch the lights on
and open the door, the alarm/reminder sounds. All lights in the back
work including reverse and brake. Running lights work too. I have
checked fuses; each front lamp is on a separate fuse. I replaced the
column control ($65) didn't fix the problem (that's ok, it was old and
worn-looks better now). What is the problem?? Also, is there any
place on the web that has exploded diagrams of cars?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

you replaced the headlight switch and it still didn't fix it? 99.9% of the the time that fixes it...I guess your one of the .1%
You might want to try http://www.alldata.com for some exploded diagrams... I usually just get a photocopy from the dealers book.

Good luck!

Use a multimeter and check current at the headlight connectors. also check voltage at the headlight switch (assuming fuses are okay). sounds like a fuse problem though. clean the connectors at the fuses.

Tracked down the problem. It was a bad wire from the battery to the headlight. This wire also provides the power to the cruise.
Thank you for the help,
Nick
