98 frontier fuel temp sensor story
Auto-zone diagnosis diplayed two identical codes (PO180 A circut fuel temp sensor malfuntion). With help from Forum (Thanks !) I lifted the bed and replaced the sensor ($28.00 from my local dealer). Im still getting the code, after resetting computer (battery disconnect and headlight swich on for ten minutes) - took about 100 miles to come back on (CEL) and Auto zone read the same two codes. The old sensor looked OK, no apparent problems with the soldered connections, etc. Now Im at kind of a loss - Im checking the wiring today for comprimize. Read one post online where it took seven resets for a code to stop coming back - can that be right? Any advise anyone could offer now would be greatley appriciated, not sure Im resetting correctly.
