I have had a steady light on for awhile, then when cold, I would have a serious engine shutter, feels like a mis-fire and then flashing code light. I got a scan and came up with P430, P303, P1320. Sounds like a mis-fire on cylinder #3, along with an "Ignition signal primary" 85K miles, I plan to change spark plugs, injector cleaner too?? What do you guys think? Any help would be appreciated!

I am not totaly familliar with the infinity line but this should be basicaly the same as the PF it calls for spark plugs at 105k miles. Yours is a little under that but given the years and if a lot of city driving not uncommon. If you do a lot of local driving in short spurts and live in a cold climate then you may want to change to the hotter plugs. These engines are not cheap for tune-ups so be prepaired!!

The 1320 code is for a coil. If it says Cyl. 3, replace your cyl.3 coil. Also, if you have 85k miles on your QX4, I would def. change your spark plugs too.
The P0430 code is for the catalytic converter.
If I were to assume, you have let this go for a while. Chances are you have a dead coil which is running very rich in that dead cylinder which has your cat. tore up. Replace coil, change plugs, and drive it hard for a little bit, maybe the cat will "clean out". Then try clearing the codes.
I appreciate the replies! Why would the "mis-fire" symptoms only happen when cold, and then disapear after it has run for a while? Also, what imputs into the computer would trigger a mis-fire?
I feel better after seeing what you guys have to say. I started to tear into the plugs, I started at cyl 3 (now I know why the labor will be high!) just to see if I could see anything obvious but I didn't. I put it back together and now have an appointment at the local Nissan dealer for a diagnosis. Maybe if they quote me high for plug change I will take a day and work on it myself!
