Main Battery Fuse
Here's the story.... I couldn't get any power whatsoever from my Xterra. I thought I needed a simple jump, but that wouldn't work. When I connected the jumper cables, the "security lights" or "parking lights" came on, but the battery didn't seem to charge. I went to the auto parts store and described my problem and they thought it might be the battery fuse in the engine compartment. I'm an idiot, so I asked if it was a simple thing to check. It was just as simple as she described. I discovered that the battery fuse was blown. I tried to remove the battery fuse, but it was very difficult. I wound up breaking the plastic case that the fuse is in in order to get it out. What I didn't manage to remove were two copper prongs. I went back to the store and they said that it's possible that the entire black case needs to be removed in order to get the fuse out. Can anyone describe how the heck I get the rest of the fuse out? Please remember that I'm an idiot when describing. Acknowledging I have an idiot problem is the first step to intelligence. Thanks in advance.
