Can anyone tell me where the so called 'shutter valve' is located on the Xterra fuel tank? It seems Nissan will not acknowledge that fact that the valve on my girlfriend's 2003 Xterra is bad. It takes a long dang time to fill the tank. Since Nissan won't fix it....can it be removed or be done away with so the tank can be filled? As far as I know....no other auto maker uses this valve or do they?
I know my Ford truck doesn't.
Anyone know about this?
