1st off, this is my 1st post on this Forum. i have a good idea on how the forums work as i am a regular on
www.fordtrucks.com with the same handle. I used to have a Ford, but i cant afford the gas and Nissan is a damn good truck.
Heres my prob with her. After shes warmed up, i might have the truck, clutch in in neutral @ a stop light or on flat. I when the clutch is in, im getting a knoch of sorts. I can only hear it in neut (including absolute N on the 4xs4 stick) but it doesnt mean its not doin it in other gears. shes got 142K on her and im the 3rd owner that i know of. the truck has been in myname for 2 months and been on the road for only 3 weeks. Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, vaccume lines, oil system cleaner, and such all have been replaced/ used.
I had this same knoch noise on another Nissan Hardbody i owned and i eventually blew 4th gear on the highway. (that was an 89 the one i have now is an 87) both are the Z-24 5 speed 4x4's.
I put a lot of miles on my truck weekly, and if anyonw has any ideas, please please let me know!
