Question 96 Quest possible swaps????

Hello, im new to this site, ive been doing a lot of searching around for any swap info for the quest gxe. I know this may seem a bit random, but im really into the quest for some reason. Im a diehard honda enthusiast (I own a 91 CB accord), but I also own a 96 Nissan Quest with a VG30E. I was reading a lot about some different swaps for the older 3rd and 4th gen maximas and from what ive been reading, the 4th gen has a DOHC VG30DE that puts down 190hp as opposed to the 150hp that my VG30E has.

My question is, would there be any chance that a swap could be done in this platform with little complication??? I've been looking at the VG30DE's as well as the DET's (JDM spec), and im interested in doing something different. I have owned 2 '95 maxima GLE's and I value the performance of them, the quest is okay as far as the stock performance, but I would definately like to get more power out of it, and sence no one supplies aftermarket parts for the Quest motor, im pretty much limited to either a swap, or a complete tear down/ higher compression rebuild. Im thinking a swap would be easier on my wallet depending on what engine fits where. Also, what tranny should I use?? The van is of course Auto, and I know there is no possibility of a manual conversion. Could someone shed some light??

I have no clue if something like this has ever been done in a quest before, and if it hasn't then I would like to be the first to do this. BTW the van has 112K miles on it, of course it's auto, and I want to be able to keep all the goods (A/C, P/S, C/C) as this will be used as a daily driven machine.
