Nice, huh?
Who did it? I'll give you a hint. He's about 6'0, 155 lbs and a shaved head.
Yea, I did it to myself.
Ok, at work, we work on landscape trucks and heavy-duty stuff as well as cars. I had a Mitsubishi Fuso landscape truck in there... very similiar to an Isuzu NPR.
Here's what a Fuso is. This thing had the elongated box as you see, and also a steel lawnmower ramp off of the back. So there's a total of 10 or so feet from the rear wheels to the very edge of the ramp. Sitting in this truck, even with the mirrors, you CANNOT SEE THE EDGE OF THE RAMP.
I pull out of the bay, into a parking spot next to my truck. No big deal. I go to turn right, out of the space, and as I'm doing so, the edge of the ramp of course turns out, due to the length from the rear wheels. It then proceeds to dig into the side of my truck. I managed to be going fast enough to scrape from fender to fender.
Needless to say, I wasn't very happy. That's putting it very, very mildly.
And to top it off, I have liability coverage, so this is not covered. If I want it fixed, it comes out of my own pocket. I'm guessing this is about a $2,000+ fix, so I think I'll just deal with it. It would require another bed, since beds are one piece and often unrepairable. I'm not doing that either. I'll just cover up any exposed metal and holes, to prevent rust.
The door still opens and closes fine, window still rolls, and the gas door still closes, so it's still completely functional.
But hey, it's not a Ferrari. And on a positive note, I never intended to sell the truck anyway. I'm over it now, but still kinda pissed.
