Wet spot on driver's side, front floor - 1998 QX4 / Pathfinder

Hi guys -- long time no chat.

Last night, after washing my car, I noticed that water had settled beneath by feet while driving the car in about a 6" x 6" section. The water was very hot also. Any ideas?

I was thinking that I should check to make sure any water drain tubes are free of any obstructions. Where should I start looking to fix this problem?

Could it have been anything simple like an window slightly open?

Did you spray the underside of the car when you were washing it and it came in via one of the drain plugs or somewhere around the trans?

Hopefully someone who knows whether or not this is a common Pathfinder problem will chime in, but I'd check the windshield seal and the cowl area. Like you said, look for clogged drains and I'd look for cracks in caulking too.

Could the water have been hot just from being on the floor? Your exhaust probably runs underneath the floorpan, yes/no?
