Hello all i was wondering what kind of alternator swap i could use on my nissan i got me 1994 2.4 4 cyl. nissan 4x4 i want more juice to run the a/c i was going to get one from auto zone but noticed that they are only 60 amp i did a search here and found some useful info but not too much i was wondering which alternator i could just put in with no mods like say one off a 240sx i know they got the same engine type but i am uncertain if the mounts are the same.

You can swap the quest/villager 110amp alternator on the VG30 trucks/Pathys but you'll have to shell out for a bigger alternator for your KA24.

dope i forgot about that place jesus the alternator is $$$$ but i remember a few years ago mine gave out i paid close to 250 so not to bad gonna continue looking to see what else fits in there.

ok heres the dumbest question yet but its killing me ok i was wondering if the alternators from the 4x4 and 2x4 nissans are the same say for instance like mine is a 94 nissan 4x4 2.4l and u find the same exact engine size on a 2x4 the alternator has to fit doesnt it? damn autozone to hell evil bastards i was bored at work and decided to look up and see if the 2wd might have a higher output alternator or something turns out the stock number 14208 is the same for both the 4x4 and the 2x4 but the price difference is about 60 bucks if someone can clarify this issue it would put me at ease not like i shop at autozone but thats pretty messed up if its the same alternator.

yup turns out it is the same alternator doesnt matter if its 4wd 2wd auto or standard as long as its a 2.4litre damn bastards been ripping us off for awhile
