any recommenditations for better fuel economy and power? i'm getting 16mpg and the cel keeps going off when on the freeway with a misfire in #3 cyclinder. no other codes and have done everything I can think of to repair issue including new factory injector, new wires, plugs, cap and rotor, lots of injector cleaner.

help!!!

well... i have this same truck and i rebuilt the engine.. because the previous owners did not replace the oil EVER... they had it for 7 years... still had the factory filter on it... anywho... i had this problem for about 8 or nine months... then it simply went away... itl go away for 3-4 weeks then stay on for a day to a week... its totaly spiratic... i dont get it... ohh... and i replaced that piston also....the no oil situation caused it to gum up and it just started scraping into the cylinder wall... i have replaced everything you have listed and it hasnt worked as well...you are not the only one this has happened to... lol... i am just as frustrated as you... nissan keeps telling me its the ducting from the air filter missing... bs.... all i can tell you is make sure ALL of your vaccuum lines are correct and if you have replaced the throttle body gasket then you should have used a gasket direct from nissan... 3rd party gaskets for this are not correct... they dont seat properly... with the bad mpg it sounds like one of your gaskets broke(you possible have an air leak)... check along where your intake meets your heads... if you cant see anything wrong... stick a smoke machine on the top of your throttle body and seal it up... so no smoke comes out the top... if you see smoke anywhere you probably have a leak...if you want mpg AND power... you cant have both if you are completely stock...
