Update on 95 Kingcab

I made a post about a 1995 kingcab v6 stick shift i found on autotrader.

i went to look at it today and it drove very very nice. guy said he believes a new clutch was installed.

70,000 miles on it, black in color.

exterior has many scratches on it and the passenger side rear bumper is bent but could prob easily be bent back into place.

listed at $5,995, he said the lowest he would go is $5750

below is a listing of truck.

any comments?

a 70k truck for 5k isnt bad at all. thats about how much i payed for my 95 hardbody.

i got a question regarding 4x4 on these trucks.

stupid me forgot to test out the 4x4 while taking ti for a test drive.
when i got back to the dealer after driving it, i shifted the 4x4 shifter into 4x4 and the light came on up on the dash.

now the shifter had 4 gears, one was off, and there were i beleive 4L, 4H but it would onyl let me switch from off to the bottom shift while parked.

do you have to be driving in order for me to shift the shifter up....i know this is hard to explain, sorry?

I believe you're referring to the transfer-case shift lever. It has 4 positions. From the Driver's POV:

[2H]
[4H]
[N]
[4L]

From 2H to 4H, the vehicle must be stopped
From 4H to 2H, this can be done at any speed
From 4H to 4L, the vehicle must be stopped
From 4L to 4H, the vehicle must be stopped
From 2H to 4L, the vehicle must be stopped
From 4L to 2H, the vehicle must be stopped

To enter the low-range, you've got to press down and then pull all the way back. Also, for 4wd to be completely engaged, the manual hubs will also have to be locked (if equipped).
