Thinking about buying tool sets

Does nissan usually require metric or SAE tools?

Do you guys have any recommendation on buying any tool sets? I just bought a 07 sentra and thinking about DIY some maintenance work, e.g. oil change. I am totally new without any experience.

Metric. Most cars domestic and foreign have quite a bit of metric. With a 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17 and 19 mm wrench you can break down 95% of an import.

There are a few standard bolts here and there on a lot of imports.

Tools....... Unless you're itchin to spend some money, start small with what you need and buy more as you need it. Craftsman makes several sets. I started out with a 151 piece set that came with 3 ratchets, several sockets, a few wrenches, a screwdriver bit set, and some allen wrenches.
