Scan tools- anybody have one they recommend?
Looking at picking one up, since I'm almost always working on something somewhere...
Right now it's Harrison or Auterra, but I ran across this one on here a bit earlier..
http://www.obd-2.com
Anybody have experience with any of these units?

I connect via a palm pilot m500 using
pocket logger software . Lets me record 20 parameters in real time. It also lets me check error codes and clear them.

hey now! Just because my car is a little old doesn't mean you can be that hard on it.
GUESS WHAT! Even the idle is controlled by the ECU!

I've used the Snap-On MT2500 before, works great but might be alittle spendy :hs:
The Snap-On SOLUS is insanely powerful, after using one it's hard not to buy it
Although you can build your own OBD-II scanner for about $40, probably less depending on where you source the parts. You've got the Lappy part covered

Heh.. This week I won a $200 gift certificate from the local Oreilly's as part of their grand opening goodies.
Sooo, I'm going to have them order this guy for me:
