Exhaust modifications void warranty?

greetings nissan owners! i'm new here and a new owner of the Nissan Titan. I love this truck to death. I was wondering if anyone that has a Titan that has done some modifications? i was looking at getting a Gibson or maybe Flowmaster muffler and some neat looking tips to change the look of my truck. Do you know if this voids warranty? I would call the dealership but it's very late here and was wondering if someone knew off the top of their head.

thanks in advance !

why as a matter of fact! it would void the warranty~ although it totally depends on the dealership and the problem that u have related to the warranty(in other words, if something happens to the truck, dealer has to prove that the modification u did affected the vehicle to cause the problem)

Ordinarily, no. An aftermarket part can only void the warranty if:

1) It causes increased emissions at the tailpipe (and in this case, you're not changing the converter, so that shouldn't be an issue).

and/or

2) It causes a problem you are asking the dealership to fix.

For example, if the Gibson exhaust rubs up against a rubber brake line in the back, burns through it, and you leak brake fluid all over the place, it would be your responsibility to fix the problem, not Nissans. However, if you take it in for any of the number of problems reported here...like a front wheel vibration for example, I think the dealership would be hard-pressed to blame that on your exhaust system.
