I am only on my 4th tank. The first 3 tankfulls where 13.05, 14.00, and 15.06 respectively. As it gets broke in it should get better. I also plan on switching to synthetic at the first oil change and also installing a K & N filter. Maybe, exhaust down the road.

I like the power and handling of the truck so far. Not impressed with the wind noise or the hint of rattles in the dash and door panels.

I moved down to the Titan from a F250 powerstroke that I used for towing a 24 ft car trailer. Got out of racing so, the diesel was a bit much for everyday driving ( I drive 36 miles to work one way). The diesel used to get about 15mpg overall. Not bad for a CC 4x4 that could tow my 7500 pound car and trailer with ease.

The Titan is much more fun to drive everyday. Haven't tried towing with it yet, maybe the boat this weekend.

15.1 to 15.6 mpg in commuter traffic. (Note - running synthetic oil)

I wish I could see 15 with my 454!

Seriously I think upgrades like K&N filter, Banks Monster Exhaust and Mobil 1 can and should increase the mileage. I've got to admit I was worried after reading some other post about the Titan gas mileage-

I've driven three at the local dealer and think the truck is definetly a good buy for the price. The wife has a 03 Xterra and it's perfect everytime I get into it. It's time to be a Nissan family.

A guy I know at work has a new Toyota Tundra V8 and he is only getting 14mpg. The Titan will smoke his truck AND gets better gas mileage. Guess I can't complain too much (except the +$40 fill ups with current gas prices!).

Dosvp, it's funny you mention being a Nissan family because with the addition of the Titan I now have 2 in the garage. The Titan is our 4th Nissan overall. Had a 91 p/u, a 95 maxima, and now the Pathfinder and Titan.

I have been pleased with nissan overall. It's always amazing how nissan can balance performance and comfort.

The Titan is getting alot of attention. I notice people looking at it and have had a few stop me in parking lots and ask about it.

I believe Nissan did a great job for their first attempt. It is a blast to drive. They just need to address a few minor issues.

I love the Titan. I'd like mine in 4x4 trim, Off Road package, Deep Water blue. No bed slide rail thinga-ma-jobs, no leather, no fluff. Just give me a truck with 4x4 and I'm happy!

Interestingly, one of the Titan brochures I have lists the max ground clearance of the Off Road Titans as .2" LOWER than that of a 4x4 LE Titan. I would assume this is possbly because of a different tire height (I think the Off Road Titans have 17" wheels and the LE has 18" wheels?). I'd still rather have the skid plates and extra stuff that comes in the Off Road package, because I think 11.4" (or whatever it is) is plenty of clearance.

My mileage has inched up slowly, from about 12 to slightly better than 14. Most of my driving has been city. It's really no worse than what I got on my Silverado Z71 w/5.3 engine. I've had this truck for 2 months now.

Would synthetic oil really improve the gas mileage? I've got a 96 Z28 that has only run synthetic, but I've never even bothered checking the gas mileage on it!

Mileage on the Armada is following a similar trend to redsoxfan. First month or two I was VERY concerned - turning in 11-14. Now we're seeing slightly better than 15 around town. A couple thousand miles on I-5 for the family vacation this summer should push us up toward the fabled estimated 19mpg mark that was on the factory sticker.

I have only 800 miles on my truck, and so far have gotten 14 mpg. I replaced the factory filter with a K&N...hopefully it will help.

Also, at the first oil change I'll switch to Amsoil synthetic. It is a 7500 mile oil that I used in my Ford Supercrew and saw an increase in mpg.

There's a guy around here with a 4x4 Crew Cab Titan, and he gets 16 puttering around town, 19 on highway. Not bad at all.
