I would like some feedback on how good a deal you got on your new Titan. I am looking at a King Cab SE but would appreciate comments on any Titan model. With other brands offering both sales at Invoice prices AND Rebates, I will have to drive a hard deal or drive something else! Please Email me @ RaymondParkII@msn.com instead of answering my Q here. Thanks

Ray,
I have had 4 domestic trucks for the past several years and was just about to go back to my Chevy dealer for my 5th one when someone tipped me about the new Titan. I read lots of material then decided to run over to the Nissan dealership on my lunch hour to do a "see and feel". I test drove one and was absolutely sold. Mine is a King Cab 4x4 LE (all the bells and whistles). I had a Chevy middle of the line (cloth seats) and it would have been about 35-38k for all leather 4x4. My Titan was listed at 33,040. It has the bed extender, carpets, and mud flaps (all extras). JUst the engine and the ride are enough to change your mind. I ended up paying 31K. They arent going to deal too much for two reasons. One is that generally Nissan, Toyotas etc do not have as much of a margin as domestic cars or trucks. Secondly, this is a brand new vehicle. They have only made 100,000 of these. I reall believe for the money it is the BEST deal out there. Let me know if you have driven one yet and your thoughts. I love the channel track system in the truck bed.

The only reason they will or won't deal is supply/demand for the vehicle. If people continue to buy $40k F-150s, Ford will continue to sell $40k F-150s. If people continue to buy $38k Silverados, Chevy will continue to sell $38k Silverados. If Nissan comes in and sells a full-size truck for $33k, and folks start looking at it instead of the others, you'll see the other's prices start to gradually decline -- or you'll see the dealers doing a LOT more dealing just to move the vehicles.
I remember when GM quit producing the big RWD sedans (Chevy Impala, Cadillac Fleetwood) in favor of producing more Tahoes and Yukons at their Arlington, TX, manufacturing plant. They were probably making more profit on the trucks than they were on the cars, because demand for them was sky-high, and that's the way the prices went too. Nowadays, if you want a nice Yukon with leather and the Z71 package, it's gonna cost close to $45k! And not for any more reason than simply folks continue to buy them, and buy TONS of 'em.
yeah make sure you look at the bottom line price and make sure you are comparing apples to apples. like it was said previously sure there are 3500 rebates on the z71's but a loaded ext. cab z71 stickers at 36 large where as the titan Le 4x4 off road king cab stickers for 33 large and you still get more features for the money and a better truck! The titans are finally starting to pile up now that production is running at full speed and I know a few people that just bought a titan for 1-200 over invoice with little negotiating and have gotten a decent finance rate although not 0%! choose wisely!
Later,

I'll pretty much echo vetteldy - when I talked to 3 dealers, they were all indicating that due to the newness, limited supply, and high demand, the Titan and 350Z had no incentives. But, when you compare the features against the competition you'll see the pricing is already competitive with the big three after their rebates and financing deals. Talking directly to sales managers before I went in allowed me to pay less than sticker.
I was actually surprised at the financing deal I got. I walked in with a home equity loan at 4.25%. However, the finance guy said let me see what I can do for you. He found me a 60 month loan for 2.9%!
Good luck,

Just saw a commercial last night on WRAL that Crown Ford in Cary is advertising new F-150s at $6-8k off sticker. So if you go find you a "$40,000" F-150, you might end up paying $32k, at least according to the ads. That sounds about right -- because the features and equipment on a $40k F-150 is probably pretty equivalent to the features and equipment on a $32k Titan.
