Hmmm, I like the way my steering feels, but I've been driving trucks since '93 (with rental cars, etc inbetween). My alignment seems very good since on most 2 lane roads my truck slightly veers to the right as it should since the roads are designed with a slight slope for drainage. If, however, your alignment is a little off to the left then on most roads they will cancel each other and it will act as if it was dead center and thus you would have/notice slight corrections required all the time (I've experienced this before). One test it to get on a multilane highway where the left lane(s) usually slope now to the left. Your truck should slowly drift that way, but if it drifts quite a bit more than when you're in the right lane(s) then I say have your alignment redone.
Tires can also do this (had this also in the past) as the belts can be off. My dealer rotated front to back and the problem went away. They replaced my tires and all was well after that.
Good luck,
dagger
PS. Do you notice a vibration in the steering wheel at speeds around 30 to 35 mph, but smooth as silk above and below?
