Anybody else thinking about buying the new pathfinder armada?
i love they way the new pathfinder looks, i have a ford expy now thinking about trading it in for 1 of these babies, does anybody here have one and could give me some feedback would be great thanks
I have been researching them for my mother who is looking to get a bigger vehicle.... She likes the Expeditions but we test drove one and they are just two darn slow, Tahoes feel alot lighter and quicker on their feet but that GM build quality and interior materials sucks! We tested the Armada and she loved it and that thing can move FAST, is quiet, and has a wonderful interior!!! it's definitely worth a look. the only disadavantages we could find were is gigantic size(very tall vehicle with the 18's) and the dealers not wanting to let them go for less than MSRP. We are waiting for the prices to come down a bit and nissan to work out any first run jitters that may develop. That armada made a good enough impression on my family to delay the purchase another 6mo-12mo!!!
later

yeah theres 3 models to choose from, im leaning toward either the se off road or the Le, but from what i can see thats a sweet ride, 305 horses and the 32 valves and 2 cams is sweet, im going to test drive one tomm
armadas are sweet... good luck on finding a price break, my dealership is tepmted to sell above sticker... havent done it yet though...
ive have a dealer maybe 5 miles from me giving me a 800 dollar above there cost cant beat that, test driving it tomm morning cant wait, i can get an Le model with the sunroof and dvd player for 41k
I'm not an SUV driver, but the Armada is really impressive and if you are looking for something that size, I don't think anything else is going to be that solid reliable ... or good looking.
I'd love to see my brother get rid of his Ford Explosion and get one of these.
Yeah, but if you want one, you're better off waiting a few more months when the scummy dealers get a grip on reality and are willing to come down off sticker price.
The worst thing about Nissans is their dealerships.
i have to disagree with you on the nissan dealerships... when I bought my truck I went from looking...to picking one out... and driving off in my truck for 200 over invoice plus the 2500 rebate... all in about 2.5 hours. and the buying experience was awesome! I have to say the ones in DFW texas aren't too bad on the armadas and titans as they are selling them at window or maybe a hundred or two less. At least they don't mark them up way over window sticker like chrysler did on PT Cruisers and the Prowlers!!!

well i bought the armada over the weekend and i must say wow, ive been in alot of suv's and owning an 02 ford expy nothing even comes close to performance and the way this monster handles its like a sportscar molded in a suv, glad i made the purchase and very happy with it, if anyone is looking to buy a suv this is the one to get for sure, and the dealership i went to was very nice in the transaction made and with the 800 over invoice price that was the icing on the cake
I test drove one, the day my local dealership got them in. I fell in love with how it handled on the highway. Yes, it's quite tall and will take some getting used to, but this is just about the only vehicle I'd consider trading my wonderful 95 Pathfinder in for.
Yes, you guys are all right - the one thing wrong with Nissan is their DEALERSHIPS. They wanted almost $47,000 from me... and I WAS NOT GETTING A DVD PLAYER IN MINE!
*shakes his head*
Oh, well... maybe I'll wait until the 2005 Pathfinder comes out this fall... the body design looks similar to the Pathfinder Armada, so I'm rather excited about the interior.

you have to find a dealer that will work with you, i bought a LE with dvd player for 41k, 500 above invoice price

You know... you're absolutely right. In my experience, the further the dealer is from my home, the better deal I've worked out.
When I bought my Pathfinder, the dealer where I had to go was almost 45 minutes away from me by car. And it was priced well, and they negotiated the payments well.
Also, my company has a special vehicle purchase program with Nissan, so if I really do get serious about either a 2004 Pathfinder Armada or a 2005 Pathfinder, I'll have to see if either of those vehicles falls under that program.
