7 Second SUV?

Car and Driver has just released test results for the Nissan Pathfinder Armada...

When I read the following, my only reaction was whoa

C/D Test Results:

0-60 Acceleration: 7.0 (best in non-luxury class)
Standing 1/4 mile: 15.5 sec / 89 mph (best in non-luxury class)
70-0 Braking: 196 ft (same range as Expedition and Tahoe)

Roadholding: 0.73 g (best in non-luxury class)

Fuel Economy: (composite) 15mpg (claimed) 20mpg
(better than most guzzlers... though... but consider that this has almost 100 hp more than most)

This gimungous... err gargantic... err... BIG truck has 305 horses and 385 foot pounds of torque... Nissan is fucking crazy!!!

I know I'm anti-SUV... but this is truly tempting... and starting at $35k... wow...

Maybe Nissan is starting to realize that due to Gran Turismo, Fast and the Furious, Initial D, and the like... that their major demographic is now speed freaks... a good thing for those of us who can actually AFFORD a new car...

at first, i thought that SUV was gonna be BIG, but its not.........its actually pretty small

I think his picture is skewed a little that’s why it don't look so good.
I'm anti-SUV as well, 15mpg "yeah right!"

Still, in person I'll bet this truck looks Bad Azz!

If I'm wrong then 305hp will sure turn some heads.

Yeah, it's a very cool new vehicle. There are a few to come from Nissan and Infiniti over the near year or two as well!

i think black and black tinted windows on 20's would look extremely well. I think its a bad ass truck and if i was in the market then its definetly something i would consider

I saw a few in person. Not that bad, it's pretty imperssive with the hood up. To me, it's pretty damn big, but 300hp and 375ft-lbs of tq, I like the performance.

Noob question: Can I fit the V8 Armada engine into my sentra? What do I need for the swap? What kind of quarter mile will I get? Will it be RWD?

Yes, it's bolt in. You can use the same tranny and computer box, save yourself some money that way.

All you need for the swap are a couple of wrenches and duct tape. You won't need to remove the hood, but it'll look kewl that way...

Unfortunately, no, it will only be 4WD, but I suppose you could remove the front wheels if you like...
