Ok I have read several problems about unbalanced tires, but see if any of you have seen or heard about this. If anyone has please let me know. I bought my 2008 Titan XE in January this year. Within a week I had to have the fan clutch replaced being that it was spinning the same speed as the engine all the way up to 3000 RPMs. It sounded like an eighteen wheeler taking off. Dealer replaced fan clutch, problem solved.
I figured out that the truck was on their lot since July 2007(sticker on the Air Box). Now at least 5 times since then while going up slight hills for more than 100 meters, the truck would start shaking so bad that my keys in the ignition were jumping. It was as if it wanted to down shift but couldn't and started to shake worse and worse until I let off the gas. Every time it happened it was around 35 - 55 MPH. The last time was a week ago and I found that if I didn't let off the gas it would only get worse. I thought the drive shaft had come loose. Like I said it only happened five times in like 10 months so recreation for the Dealer would be impossible.
It sounds like it is holding too high a gear on the hills. If it kicks down a gear when you lift off the gas then that is how I would be driving it when on a climb. Does it change down by itself ok on a steep hill?

It down shifts after I finally let off, but as an "automatic" it seems I shouldn't have to do this but at the same time what could, mechanically, be going on to cause the shaking. When it does this it feels like going down a gravel road with bulldozer tracks.
