Catalyst converter problems
I have a Titan with now 144, 480 miles and I have changed the catalyst converter two times already. I had the intermediate power lost since 33,000 miles untill the light came on at 87,000 miles although I told them to check for the catalyst. then I was told that it was not cover by my extended warranty as the MFG. warranty expires at 83, 000 miles. The Dealer said that I needed a NEW engine because the catalyst have gotten in the engine and had hummed the cilynders. The extended warranty people said that they will not cover the engine because the catalyst caused the damage and it is not covered.
So I installed a new catalyst and have ran the truck ever since. Then at 133,000 miles I had to replace the catalyst again.
Does anyone have or had this problem??????
