Towing Package...Extendable tow mirrors

Hey guys,

I'm thinking about getting a Crew Cab LE and trying to decide on the towing package. According to the NissanUSA website, "Extendable tow mirrors" are part of the package. Can someone with the towing package explain what they mean by "Extendable tow mirrors"? I've seen some Titans around that have mirros that stick way out on two support arms. Are these what they are talking about and if so, can you pull them closer to the body if you aren't towing a huge trailer?

The mirror's you mentioned with the two support beams are the "tow" mirrors. With the mirrors in the inner most position they still stick out about 10-12".
