Need some Help - please

Please don't crucify me for posting in this section - Later down in my question you will see why I picked this section...

I live in NY - we got a bunch of snow yesterday. I shoveled my car and had to go back and forth several times to get my car out. I make it a point not to let the tires spin and accelerate too much. Anywho, I got out of the spot and everything was fine. Once I got onto the highway and started going 60 my steering wheel started to shake - really bad to the point that I had to get off b/c I didn't know what was going on. After a quick look over at the car I didnt see anything wrong so I continued on. Car was still shaking - I made it to work ok.

I asked a co-worker about it and he said I have snow in my rims and thats what is causing the shaking - does that sound logical? I've never had this problem until today.

Obviously I am going to attempt to get all of the snow out of my rims - but if that doesnt work - what could I have done to my car?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks

centrifugal force would create heat in the wheels and melt the snow after only the first few miles.. if this is a constant thing it isn't going to be the snow in the wheels... it could be alignment if it is at cruising speeds and if you are braking when this is happening it could be warped rotors... do you park with your emergency brake on? anyways if it is still evident the next few days run it by a shop and have them check the alignment, most shops have a free alignment check anyways. good luck hope you find your problem
