Need help with tires

I am always in the dark about what tires to choose. My 240 is just my daily driver. Occasionly I'll do a little aggressive driving around a small adandoned road in my town, but not enough to need tires specificaly for it. I have 16 inch rims and I'm just looking for some tires that are going to be reliable and not wear out too fast. What brand should I go with? I don't want anything low quality but I don't need high performance either.

Melanie, The thing you have to watch out for here in Florida is the rainy season. I placed Toyo Proxes TPT on my Acura and I love them. The price isn't too bad and they last a long time. Traction is great and I drive with confidence in the wet. Jeff

By the way Melanie, when you get those new tires, have them mounted and balanced properly.

All the tires they suggested are good ones.

The Dunlop DZ101 is a good suggestion for you, Dunlop makes a great tire.

I would also suggest looking into the Falken 912 and the Yokohama YK520.

The Falken 912 would be an excellent DD tire and for the money, they can't be beat. They are a High Performance All Season tire. They are comfortable on the road, they will handle great for the little "spirited" driving you do, you will get quite a few miles out of them and they will handle the rain down there in Florida.

The Yokohama YK520 offers everything the Falken 912 does with a little more life. This is an outstanding DD tire. Be sure to check out the reviews.
