the 04 alti i4 comes with 16in rims right ?? i wouldnt go from 16's to 20's ... for one it would screw with your odometer readings and it will probably add alot weight and from a pure physics point of view, the engine would have to work harder to spin the 20 in wheel 1 full revolution versus the stock wheel. i would go with 16, 17 or a maybe even 18 at the most...this is just purely my opinion, im not a big fan of big rim upgrades! but hey some like the big aftermarket looks and others like factory style. good luck and welcome to the forum

Dont get anything smaller than 20. Altimas have a huge wheel well and it looks awkward when the space isnt filled but theres rims on the car. Besides if your gonna spend the money for rims, you might as well put something on that will really make a difference.

Yeah, your odometer might get a little messed up, 1-3 mph. Your rim gets bigger while the tire gets smaller, therefore the overall diameter of the old wheel and the new 20 is almost the same. As for your engine, yeah, it may slow your car down a tad, and you might feel a little difference slowing down, but is it going to ruin your car? no. You wont see effects from putting 20's on your car in 10 years.

my advice, car domain altimas with 20's then look for 17's 18's and see what you think.

Yeah I see alot of 02-up Altis with 20's, it won't have a major bad affect on the car! You will have to get very low profile tires though, which means you will probably feel the bumps on the road more!

i feel the same...but depending on the car, sometimes 18 just doesnt do it. You dont need to get chrome...a pair of staggerd 20'' racing rims would probably look tight.

You didn't mention if the Alltima is, or will be, dropped?

A dropped Altima won't handle 20's.
