Funny police report
Unedited police report from today's Denton Record-Chronicle:
A woman reported Friday afternoon that she believed a woman who was staying with her had taken more than $1,500 from her pocket as she slept.
The responding officer listened to the stories of both women, who both appeared to be intoxicated, according to the police report. The woman, who lives in the 1700 block of Teasley Lane, said the cash was in her pocket when she went to sleep on the floor and was gone when she awoke. Since the visitor was the only other person present, she believes the visitor took the money.
The visitor invited the officer to search her belongings. He did not find the missing money. He told the victim she should search other parts of the house for the money.
When the officer asked for the denominations of the bills for his report, the victim told him he shouldn’t bring religion into the conversation.
