Top 3 Reasons I hate I-35

1) I'm not sure where the lanes are anymore!

2) It takes an hour to drive 20 miles.

3) 95 percent of rush hour crashes are caused by someone not paying attention.

Comments? Are there any reasons you can add? Other roadways you can't stand? Come on, people. Ranting never killed anyone.

I can say that I hate any roadways since I hardly drive.
But I must say the I-635/ 75 mix master would be one area I hate.

Yeah, that I-635 and I-75
interchange is the pitts!

I avoid it like the plague.
Then again, I never go way out
there anyways...

I try to avoid that area entirely. Matt's parents live in Richardson, but we pay the toll and just take 190 to avoid the interchange. My poor mother, when visiting from East Texas, thought she was going to die when I drove her through the 635/75 spot. Good thing she hasn't seen it when it's been raining. Good thing I taught her about the Tollway and 190 or she'd have probably disowned me by now for living in such a big city.

I-20 just east of Tyler coming from LA is worse. Sunday night I was coming back from South TX and went 7 miles in an hour 40. Way too screwy. But yeah 35 has gotten bad with the new "lanes" they are making us use.

Oh yeah, I know where you mean.
That stretch of I-20 has been under
constuction for at least a year now.

I can't tell you how many times I've
gotten caught in that mess coming and
going to our Casino in Shreveport on
business.

It really sucks because I-20 is the only
way I know to get into Shreveport.

Hehehehe. I know where your talking about. I-20 in Canton. I always stop at the Loves Travel Stop when I go to Nacogodches. My reward for getting through the construction is that I get to stop at Loves. I drive it once when it was raining really hard, and the 18 wheelers in the oncoming lane were throwing waves of water over the barrier. I heard on the day before Thanksgiving that the back up was 8 miles with 6 hour delays going east bound and 3 hour delays going west bound. I hate that section. And it's been like that for at least 3 years...ever since I moved to Dallas.

I remember 20 being a mess back in late '96 when I was coming back from Ft Lauderdale. Texas construction seems to be just a reason to cause problems for drivers... anyone remember Central Expressway in the 90's

I just moved to Lake Dallas and I'm not sure I would have done it if I would have known just how bad I-35 is. I work in Irving so that's my daily commute to work. 20 miles and an average of 40min.

Angry Granma and GranPa on the road

I drive thru Dallas downtown on a daily basis!!! I live in Mesquite and have to go to Irving every freakin morning and back in the evening. It usually takes me an hour to go to work and an hour home. I love Saturday morning...I can get to work in 25 minutes!!!

Unhappy small lanes for the New MINI!

I hope Denton spray those old white strips with black paint. They didn't totally scrap off the old white strips at all! Out of towner people gonna think that the two close line is for the NEW MINI and those 2 wide lanes are for TEXAS Truck (uh car) !

I know what you mean, Kong! When I take Tony to work in the morning, as soon as we get over the bridge, he thinks I'm having I heart attack or something because of all the swerving I do trying to "follow" the lanes... I'm still not sure which stripes are correct. It also doesn't help that they change weekly.
