This is a picture of what it looks like:

I got the black one.

And, I also got it installed this weekend.
Not only is it functional but it gives more of an OFF-ROAD look too.
I did lose some space in the truck's bed; but I it is worth it, safety and appearance wise.
what'd they run you? does that just mount the tire to the inside of the bed? I have a full sized spare that I would like to mount to the inside so it doesn't keep sliding around.

It was $145 with tax. and it mounts to the inside of the bed, so the spare tire can be attached to it. I got my from the Fourwheel Parts store downtown, and I think this was the last one in stock they had in black color. They might have one more left in blue color.

Also, they sell the flat mounts for spare tire (it mounts to the inside of the trucks bed as well) The spare is secured to the inside of the trucks bed in flat position. I think they run for about $60.

I opted out for the angled mount, since I have a matching rim and tire as spare (it looks better). Otherwise I would have opted out for the flat mount to hide the spare inside the truck’s bed.

I think just the flat would do me, where exactly is this place, or do you know if just any truck store sells these?

The prices on the web are:

$75.99 for the flat spare tire mount kit, and $179.99 for the angled spare tire mount kit.

I have found a lower price for the same items on the web and asked the store salesman for price adjustment. And they matched the price. I thing he even gave me a 10% discount, it was around $125 before taxes.

The prices on this web site are:
$68.95 for the flat spare tire mount kit, and $137.95 for the angled spare tire mount kit. One thing about buying from this site is that you will have to pay for shipping and handling. If you go to the store you will not pay this fee.

Here is the web link with lower priced items
Just click here

I hope this was helpful

Well, I attempted to do an "over arched" spring on the hardbody, but It went so low that I couldn't even get the wheels back on. Can you believe it Alex, It actually went too low for ME. I had to hurry and put it back together, so now I have the right side running mono-leaf, It lowers it the perfect height, but does anyone know if a single-leaf will hold up? It sways abit right now, but I think that is because the other side is a double leaf.

I can't believe it's too low for you!
Well, Damir should be able to answer
your truck spring question...

, I’m not sure but logically thinking you should use double-leaf springs. I think you might be OK with single-leafs as long as you don't over load the truck.

I guess if you think about it, only one leaf is actually connected to the frame anyway, I am just concerned about it holding together. I don't see why it wouldn't. I am not concerned about load capacity, I NEVER put anything in the back except for my spare. I guess it just might work.

ok, figured it out. there are originally 3 leafs, i had first removed the lower leaf as someone had told me it would lower the truck. it did, but only a half inch. I found out last night that the middle leaf is the one to be removed, which will give it a 3 inch drop but still have some integrity for minor hauling. So thanks for everyones input, I am tearing down the back end tonight, and will put it back together tomorrow. It will be nice and low for the meet on saturday.
