Angry Caliper will not fully lower into position!!!

94 Xe/pickup 2wd 2.4L

I am installing new carbon metallic brake pads on the front driver side (I haven't made it to passenger side yet... here's why) I've read the hayes repair manual on the subject and followed all the intsructions yet the caliper will not fully lower into position. Physically this is due to the lower hole for the bolt to hold it in place, it seems to be sticking out farther than it should be, what can I do???
The cylinder is inside the caliper and poses no problem lowering around the pads. yet it still will not lower all the way...
PLEASE HELP.

Mike

Angry Stuck Slide Pin!! Help Pease!!

Although, I've come to the conclusion that a stuck slide pin is the problem, I cannot fix it! I've tried spraying a penetrating catalyst lubricant, this seems to be of no help!! it won't just knock loose, what do I do???
