Lowering the back of a Frontier

Sorry if this belongs in the SUV, Truck section versus Suspension, but...

What affect(s) would lowering the rear of my '04 Frontier have on handling?

I'm assuming it would make carrying a load more difficult since I wouldn't have that height buffer to start with, but I don't plan on carrying anything too heavy for that (that's what the trailer is for ).

Mostly I think I'd do it for the looks, but would it handle better? Would the weight distribution be better?

If there aren't any real negatives and I decide to lower the rear, what are my options: lowering shackles, lowering blocks, and what else?

Thanks.
