question about takeing brakes apart

im really sorry in advance this is a double post! ill never do it again but the suspention and bracks forum gets almost no hits and i need some info for when i get home (wana rip into it asap) so here goes. (mods if it does bother you just close it thats cool but it just dawned on me that alot more goes on in here than the suspention sec. thaks )
1. im getting g2 paint tomarrow in the mail and i want to know can/ if so how can you take off the front rotors without disconecting the brake lines and bleeding the fluid? ill unbolt the calipers i plan on that to get the back painted but id rather not have to bleed the brakes i am pretty new to this stuff and that would be rather involved i think.

2. next i am going to "grind" (use an angle grinder with wire brush attachment) to get all the rust off the rotor but my question is would it be ok to paint the rotor where the rust "was" ie on top where the vents are and right next to the hat where the pads dont rub? or would it be far to hot?

3. next how do i take the drum covers in the rear off? so i cant paint them off of the car and really get allllllllll the rust and jusk off before paint thanks everyone and again im really sorry for double posting

Why are you painting your rotors? The paint will come off if you heat cycle your breaks enough.

Anyway you will answer your own question once you take it apart, the lines in no way interfere with removing the rotors from the car. You can remove the caliper with the line attached and hang it from the coil spring with a coat hanger.

Lastly this is the wrong section it should be in the break section since it deals with brake assembly. And the other thing is your thread title doesn't lend itself to helping you as it contains no information about the topic at hand.

ok thanks that was my major question and about the rotors i was maybe going to do it but only on the top and right next to the hat where the pads dont touch and rust builds up not really for cosmetic reasons but for the reason of keeping rust off but i too think it will get far to hot so ill just leave that one alone. but for the drum all i have to do is take out a coter pin and then the large bolt on the axle is there any type of screw on the back on the drum? or is that it?

You don't have to take that stuff off for the drum. Take the wheel off and you should be able to remove the drum with a mallett. If not there is a hole on the back where you can adjust the shoes to take pressure off the drum.

Right. DO NOT REMOVE the large nut. That's what keeps the wheel hub on the car. You do not have to remove it to get the drum off. That nut requires some pretty serious torque, both for removal and proper installation. The drum may take a little "persuading" but should come off fine.
