Not the usual Clunk / Need help!

I have a 91 SE-R, with GC Coilovers and KYB AGX shocks.

I installed them a few months ago and took the car to the track. when I was out there I would hear a clunk, a loud clunk, from the right front side. You could even feel it in the brake pedal and pasangers said you could feel it on the floor board.

So I thought it was those stupid GC ORings so I took them apart and did the duct tape / silicone deal to them to secure the sleeve (If you've never heard of it it works great, don't worry). Anyway I was thinking that the sleeve was knocking against the KYBs or spring during heavy braking cause of all the forward pressure.

2 weeks went by and I thought ok well now its time to test it but once again under heavy braking the car clunks from the right side.

I'm convinced now that it isn't the CGs. But something in the suspension, maybe even a motor mount.

Has anyone ever had this problem? Does anyoneone know where I should look to fix it? Before I do the motor mounts and bushings I want to know that its going to solve the problem.

The thing is that it doesn't "upset" the car when it happens so from a driving standpoint I don't mind it. But it sounds really bad and I'm affraid its doing some major damage.

Need some help,

Tony

Check your motor mounts, cross member, A arms etc. Go under the car, look around, check your engine bay, check everything before you drive it again. Sounds like an accident waiting to happen.
