HELP...need help to take off springs..

I have them compressed, but trying to get the nut off the top of the shock wont work, cuz the whole thing turns, the bolt, and the threads that the bolt is on, how do u do it??

speed is your best friend. You are not supposed to use an impact on it, but when i did my teins that was the only way. A drill with a socket may work and that would be good cause it dosnt impact the strut.

Loosen the big bolt while its on the car tightened with 3 little bolts... or you can jam it with another wrench against the ground

try an impact wrench, you'll have it off in about 1 second.

only nut i took off when i installed my teins was the one you are trying to get off. if you do it the way i did it you dont need a compressor and it takes maybe 10 minutes per side at most.

use some vice grips.. thats what I used..

yeah put some vice grips around the metal shaft part that crank on the bolt, that will work also, just make sure you turn the right way from the get go...crank towards you coming from the top..

DONT PUT THE VICE GRIPS ON THE SHAFT OF THE STRUT!!!!!!

if you knick the shaft it may cut the rubber seal and your shock will go to sh!t. Impact wrench is how i did it. But put it on to long... the impact can damage the strut.
