strut bar questions and opinions

Okay.. On ebay there are what looks to be 3 different front strut bars. Theres pro-car parts, bomz, and a no-name one.

The no-name on looks like a piece of junk. I will avoid.

The pro-car parts looks of quality.. but there is no name on it.

The bomz looks of quality.. and is a bomz brand.

Who is bomz? Which is best? Is a front stb beneficial if you are on stock suspension? Is a rear beneficial?

liuspeed, what can you offer?

Thanks

Jacob

For the most part, a strut bar is a strut bar. You should avoid super cheap ones (i.e. eBay $20 POS) and bend you over backwards expensive ones (i.e. $tillen's $200 ripoff). A problem w/ cheap bars is not the bars themselves but crappy fits and the joint where the bar connects to the piece that connects to the suspension. A strong bar won't do crap if the connecting piece is lose as hell, bending under stress, or flopping around. I bought my #1 bar off of nopi.com for $90 and it is very high quality.

Additionally, w/o an upgraded suspension a strut bar alone will not make much difference.

i can offer no name one.. i have the no name one on my car it works just fine..

bomz is a really respectable company and they make pretty nice bars.

there is also megan racing strut bars even nicer and really nice quality.

pro car parts carries the no name ones as well.. same bar just a prettier picture.

i might be switching to that but not sure due to some other priorities first.

hope that helps.
