Has anyone installed koni "reds" before. Are they difficult to install??

Yes, but not me.
Define "difficult". Most people are not prepared to remove the strut, cut off the top, gut the body, drill a hole in the bottom, slide in the insert, weld the top back on and reinstall in car. If you are prepared for that, then no, it's not difficult.
