Question B14 Trouble finding solution

I have a 97 200sx I have ordered some KYB agx's and now i'm having trouble finding springs. I was curious in hyperco's but i can't understand there website worth a crap. It says weird stuff like 14"x15"x14". I wish it would just say 1.5F 1.5R or something. I am looking for something along the lines of about 2.0F 1.8 or 1.5R drop. I read in another thread that you can use the cheap ebay coilovers as long as you take the springs out and replace them with better springs all i would need to do this on is the rears if i got tien lowering springs. Any suggestions??

When you read Hyperco's, you're reading about a Special Production for SR20Forum, just 70sets were maded, they're not a "regular" production.

If you want a good set of springs, get Tein's Springs & match with AGX's, by the way, the better setups are:

2front/4rear or 3front/6rear

This is the translation of the KYB table in real percent vs. stock

alright so teins are good shocks? I thought they were too and would have been my first choice but i cannot find any with the drop i want. The drops they make are too extreme. For example 2.5F and 1.0R i would want the rear to be 2.0 so thats why i was thinking about getting cheap ebay coilovers taking out the cheap springs and putting in the teins only for the rear of coarse just to drop it another inceh.

Jer_ry:

The Teins I'm talking about are springs, not shocks & yes, they lower the car too much, here's the link:

I had H&R's with Tokicos, but that's a too rough ride, Eibachs are too soft, you'll hate 'em.

save a few bucks to get Coilovers or try to search for a second hand owner (some of them never install 'em) Hyperco's at sr20forum.

Sorry i ment springs Not shocks. Yes the S tech's are the ones i was interested in. I might just get them. I more than likely will like them. Is there a guide here showing steps on switching springs out? I would like to know whats all involved and how long it would take a guy like me to complete.

Thanks. That was a big help. I'm still wondering if I could use cheap ebay coilovers and replace the springs with teins? I read somewhere that the actual adjuster is a good quality.

Sorry, I can't help you with that, I'm too far from USA & I can't experiment, if I've to get something I've to go all the way.
