no spark

Alright, I have a blacktop s14 in my 95 240sx. I have not yet had the car running. I have been doing all work on it myself, problem is the back two cylinders have no spark? fronts do. Coil packs all have grounds and the 12 volts they need to work. I thought it was the ignitor chip, wrong. is there any wiring that could be switched to give me this problem?

he said coilpacks, as in IGNITOR + Coilpack= NO SPARKPLUG WIRES.

I would check the coilpacks themselves, check the CAS to see if thats good/alligned right.
The coilpacks should have xOhm ressistance. I don't remember how much tho. CHeck FSM.
Good luck

oops. old school coils huh. wow i didnt know that. did you guys know they were used on the US planes during WWII? yea the spark plug wires would get condensation on them which screwed everything up. so they went to coils. pretty cool. anyways gl

Check your coil pack. It may not be the connects to or from it, it could be the component itself. It's a coil-over spark setup so check the resistance between the coil on top and the boot right below it. Check the spark plugs too. Let us know what you find...

I switched the coils front to back when I first had this problem. I even switched the spark plugs. I had spark both ways. When I tested my ignitor chip like the manual told me to it appeared to be running backwards which is why I thought it was that. One more strange thing is when I have the key on, my second coil pack warmed up alot. When I found this out I went to grab the ignitor and almost burned the shit out of my hand. But it is not the ignitor obviously. A friend of mine thinks possibly I do not have enough juice, or a big enough wire,to the coil packs for spark. with the key on all coils have 12 volts like they should.

thanks a lot!

It shouldn't be that hot if you didn't crank it over and over and over. I'd look for a grounded wire....
