recently my car has started to spool really slow. When i give it gas it starts to make deep throaty sounds and not spool up. When i let off a little it spools up normal. In traffic, i cant just mash on the gas and take off. i have to give it some gas, it makes the sounds, then i let off and it will go. Really annoying! S13 blacktop, stock t25, stock boost,fairly new plugs, synthetic oil. Walboro 255L fuel pump, no smoke. Whats my problem????

sounds like your turbo might be going bad. I had the same issue with my old supra.
My turbo is noisy and doesnt boost that well. I believe it's still good, but im not sure what could be wrong. its noisy and im lacking power fro 2200 rpm to 2700. What do u think it could be?
When my car is cold, the turbo spools up like a champ! about 7 minutes of driving then it starts to act up. I havnt checked the turbine shaft yet. I have a feeling that it could be the manifold gasket. I hope it is. Anyone ever have or had this problem?
well if it ran good when cold how why wouldnt it work just as good when the engine was warm ... maybe a sensor problem like a map sensor or somethin like that ?

yeah It could just be some sensor or something that is making your engine run really rich or really lean, I think it might be a fluctuation of your air ration, try also checking if you MAF is still in working order because it might be telling your ECU the wrong things. Just a thought
dude i just fixed my problem and it was exactly the same thing you had . its manifold to turbo gasket. your car makes kinda like a whitling noise (kinda like if you were to get a peice of grass and put it between your thumbs and blow through it.) you need to get a new gasket. this broblem seems complicated at first but once you get that gasket fixed youll have no problems. just make sure you use lock tight. when you put the nuts back on or theyll just come off. oh and if your gonna do it ur self your gonna have to get a knew exhaust manifold gasket (block to manifold). or get RTV Silicon Gasket maker. (Grey tube).
