just curious: vg30dett (300zx) vs Sr20 engine swap

I am just wondering how come more people do not try to do this swap in a 240sx. I am new so, I'm just curios, not trying to start a war I know you can do anything you want as long as you have the money to back it up. I'm guessing this swap must be really difficult. Probably answered my own question.

i mean i know with the right amount of money anything is possible but you can only work with what you got. i dont think a vg30 will fit between the strut towers of a 240sx so i dont seeing it being practical plus the engine is heavy and would throw off the 240s weight ratio.

thanks for the input. I figured there was some reason, just didn't know what. I would think the rb20dett, rb25dett would be to big too, but I hear about people doing it also.

Only in 300ZX's.....thank under bonnet temp for that.....I've seen a VG30DET in a Datsun 1600 (510 I think in Yank speak) and the engine bays in those things are tiny.....one of the moments I wish I had my Camera on me

neither of those are TT with out some modification. And both will fit fine stock, just buy the RB mount kit from mckinney motorsports. Nismodore has done an RB swap sticky, i dont remember if its still there though.
